LAP x adidas Run in Munich: “Feel Fast”, vernissage, community run & refreshments

LAP x adidas Run in München: “Feel Fast”, Vernissage, Community Run & Refreshments

Sometimes an event doesn't feel like a scheduled activity, but rather like a vibrant urban experience: people come together, move around, pause briefly, talk, laugh, and leave refreshed. That's exactly what LAP x adidas was like at the Munich Marathon weekend: starting at LAP Coffee at Klenzestraße 49 (Isarvorstadt), interspersed with art and breathwork, followed by a group run along the Isar River, and finishing with perfectly paired cold drinks. Under the motto "feel fast," adidas also presented running footwear that day.

The location: LAP Coffee: “Life Among People” on Klenzestrasse

LAP stands for “Life Among People,” and this very “being among people” is a tangible part of the concept. LAPs are places that create small, everyday spaces for culture, community, and brief encounters.

The Klenzestraße location is perfectly chosen: right in the heart of the Isarvorstadt district, close to the Isar River, close to the Gärtnerplatz vibe, a spot that feels like a hub when there's "something going on" in the city.

Art as a prelude: Opening & Exhibition by Eileen Jordan

The event kicked off with a private viewing featuring an exhibition by Eileen Jordan (be sure to mention her on Instagram @ here), a setup that deliberately expanded the sporting context: not just running, but also art, perspective, and atmosphere. Eileen Jordan works as a photographer in Munich and clearly describes her focus as being on people, fashion, and visual storytelling.

This very mix set the tone: not loud, not promotional, rather curated and approachable. (That sounds a bit strange.)

Breathwork before the run: Reset for mind & body

Before heading out onto the course, there was a breathwork session with Berit Warta (@beritwarta) – a really great move because it creates a switch: from everyday life into the body, from "busy" to "present". Especially before a community run, this is the perfect shared zero point: everyone takes a deep breath before starting to run.

The 6 km Community Run along the Isar

Then it was off: 6 km along the Isar River, led by Michael Hastrait (@michaelhastrait), including a short stretching session in between. This detail made the run special: not "going all out" (I'd use a gentler/different word), but running together, briefly gathering, mobilizing, and then continuing. Exactly the kind of run where new people immediately feel comfortable.

Afterwards: Cold brew and raaaw as the perfect refreshment.

Back at LAP, it was clear: something cold was needed. LAP Cold Brew and raaaw were on offer as a refreshment – a combination that made perfect sense: coffee energy meets sugar-free, sparkling refreshment. That day, raaaw wasn't "just a drink," but part of the setup: community, movement, a moment to linger afterward instead of immediately parting ways.

 Why LAP x adidas worked

This event demonstrated how well running culture works when it's not just about performance, but connects people, place, and atmosphere: art as an introduction, breathwork as a reset, a shared run as the core, and drinks afterward as a social closure. LAP as a space for "Life Among People," adidas as a "feel fast" catalyst, and raaaw as part of the moment afterward.
